Our Sympathy goes to the Oja Tuntun fire victims
I, Senator Babajide Omoworare, write to sympathies with the victims of fire incident that engulfed Oja Tuntun, Odo-Ogbe, Ile-Ife on the 3rd of January, 2014. At this Time of festivity and climax of commercial activities, it is unfortunate that such a tragic incidence befell a strategic commercial center of the Ancient Town of Ile- Ife. It is our prayer that God Almighty will comfort the affected people, put an end to tragedies of this nature and replenish the purses of the victims of this undesirable and unpleasant development.
As a resident in Odo-Ogbe, the site of the Market, I belief I am also a stakeholder in its safety and security of the Market. I therefore appeal to us all improve on our safety awareness and security consciousness to prevent any occurrence of this in the future. We remain with the Oja-Tuntun fire Victims at this trying period of theirs, and will do our best to prompt necessary Government parastatals for timely response.
Exploring this medium further, I wish the people of Osun East (Ife/Ijesa) Senate District, the people of the State of Osun and Nigerians a Happy and Prosperous New Year 2014. We thanks God almighty for his mercies and love for Nigeria and Nigerians, despite all the political and economic challenges, we remain a peaceful, united and prosperous entity. Without God and the enormous support of the people of Osun East (Ife/ Ijesa) Senatorial District, we could not have succeeded with our legislative and political assignment in the year 2013. We remain eternally grateful to you all.
As we go into the year, may God keep us from evil and bring abundant prosperity to us all, may we never be victims of evil and sad occurrences as recently witnessed at Oja-Tuntun.
