Don’t foment trouble in Osun; Omoworare Caution PDP.

The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Babajide Omoworare has added his voice to the criticism trailing the proposed summit on Education and the Financial status of the State of Osun by one Osun Stakeholders Group which is a front organisation of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

In a statement by his media aide Tunde Dairo, Senator Omoworare said this is one of the several moves by PDP and its agents to destabilize the peace and political tranquillity in the state hiding under an emergency and politically conjured stakeholder group.

He maintained that the group is a front organisation of the PDP, adding that the conveners of the summit are the party’s agents being used to fight dirty cause. “Nothing necessitated the summit except being a pretence to execute a plans targeted at frustrating Aregbesola’s administration”.

According to Omoworare, "the financial stress in Osun is not peculiar to the state, it is a direct result of the economic cluelessness of the immediate past PDP controlled federal government". The state has also won accolades in its efforts to improving educational infrastructure in the state.

While recognizing the right of groups and associations under whatever appellation including the PDP to assemble, Senator Omoworare warned that this latest move by the so called stakeholders group being sponsored by PDP is capable of resulting into treason.

He said PDP is still suffering from the hangover of it's defeat at last year's gubernatorial election in the state. "Elections remain the only legitimate means of testing popularity and change of government in a democratic setting; the good people of Osun have spoken through the ballot, they have elected the All Prograssives Congress (APC) led government of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to superintend over the state" Omoworare said.
